Kindlewood began with lived experience.

The McLaughlin family saw how isolating and confusing end-of-life care could be even with good intentions and professional support.

There was care, but not always connection. Processes, but not always clarity. Support, but not always community. Even with all that love around, they still didn’t have a space that let them stay close as a family in those final days.

Kindlewood was created to change that. While many people in Western Australia are proud of the community-based hospice services we believe there is significant unmet need in the community and a lack of choice for many.

Meet the people behind Kindlewood

Kindlewood is led by people who bring experience, care, and a deep belief in doing this work differently for our community.
